Ingredients

Scale

For Blackened Steak & Shrimp:

  • 2 steaks (e.g., sirloin, ribeye), about 1 inch thick
  • 200g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Other Ingredients:

  • 300g fettuccine pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Steak and Shrimp:
    • Season the steaks with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, then remove and let rest.
    • In the same skillet, cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce:
    • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
    • Add heavy cream and red pepper flakes, stirring until combined. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
    • Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the Dish:
    • Toss the cooked pasta with the Alfredo sauce until evenly coated.
    • Slice the steak into strips and serve over the pasta with shrimp.
    • Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels by modifying Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat gently on low heat with a splash of milk or cream.
