Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
Cook Turkey: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Sauté Vegetables: Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
Add Ingredients: Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Simmer: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Serve: Ladle chili into bowls and enjoy hot. Optional toppings include shredded cheese, sour cream, or cilantro.
Notes
- For a spicier chili, add a chopped jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This chili can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
- You can use ground chicken as a substitute for ground turkey if desired
