This Turkey Chili is a comforting and flavorful dish that’s lighter than traditional chili but still packed with bold, savory flavors. Made with lean ground turkey, beans, tomatoes, and a blend of spices, it’s a nutritious and filling meal that’s perfect for a cozy dinner or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Cook Turkey: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Sauté Vegetables: Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
Add Ingredients: Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Simmer: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Serve: Ladle chili into bowls and enjoy hot. Optional toppings include shredded cheese, sour cream, or cilantro.

  • For a spicier chili, add a chopped jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
