- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
For Topping:
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. - Prepare the Filling:
In a bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside. - Shape the Buns:
Divide the dough into 10–12 equal balls. Flatten each into a disc and create a small indentation in the center. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. - Add the Filling:
Spoon the cream cheese filling into the indentations and top with diced strawberries. Let the buns rise for another 20 minutes. - Bake:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the buns for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
