Description

These strawberry brownies are the perfect treat for any occasion, combining the rich, fudgy texture of chocolate brownies with the fresh sweetness of strawberries. Easy to make and simply irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup (35g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (about 200g) fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Mix wet and dry ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to ensure fudgy brownies.
  5. Add strawberries and chocolate chips:
Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips (if using). The strawberries will add moisture and flavor.
  6. Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool and serve:
Let the brownies cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Moisture from Strawberries: If you use very juicy strawberries, you may want to pat them dry with a paper towel to prevent the batter from becoming too runny.
  • Variation: For an extra strawberry punch, swirl in some strawberry jam on top before baking.
  • Serving Tip: These brownies are perfect served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream!
