Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
- 1 bag frozen pierogis (about 16 oz)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Kielbasa: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sliced kielbasa, cooking until the kielbasa is browned and the onion is soft (about 5 minutes).
- Layer the Crockpot: Add half of the frozen pierogis to the bottom of the Crockpot. Top with half of the kielbasa mixture, half of the shredded cheddar, and a dollop of sour cream. Repeat the layers with the remaining pierogis, kielbasa, cheese, and sour cream.
- Add the Soup: Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top and spread evenly.
- Cook: Cover the Crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until the pierogis are tender and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Stir everything together before serving for an even distribution of flavors.
Notes
- Kielbasa Alternatives: If you prefer, you can substitute kielbasa with smoked sausage or any other favorite sausage.
- Add Vegetables: Feel free to add veggies like bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Cheese Options: Use a blend of cheddar and mozzarella for a creamier, meltier texture.
- Sour Cream: For a lighter version, swap sour cream with Greek yogurt.
