Description

Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents are a savory, easy-to-make appetizer featuring seasoned sausage and creamy cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough. Perfect for parties or a quick snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 lb (225g) breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions (if using), garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Roll Out Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  • Fill and Roll: Place a small spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each dough triangle. Roll the dough up from the wide end to the point, pinching the edges to seal.
  • Bake: Arrange the filled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Serve: Allow the crescents to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can include a dash of hot sauce in the filling.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, you can use turkey sausage and reduced-fat cream cheese.
