Description

Ravioli Lasagna is a quick and delicious twist on the classic lasagna. Using ravioli instead of traditional pasta layers, this recipe delivers a cheesy, savory meal that's perfect for busy weeknights. It’s a comforting dish that requires minimal prep and is guaranteed to satisfy your hunger with its rich flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of refrigerated ravioli (about 25-30 pieces, cheese or meat)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or olive oil.
  • Layer the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange a layer of ravioli on top of the sauce. Add a layer of ricotta cheese, followed by mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a top layer of sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Serve: Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use frozen ravioli, just make sure to thaw them before assembling.
  • If you prefer a meat lasagna, add cooked ground beef, turkey, or sausage between the layers.
  • For a lighter version, swap the ricotta cheese for cottage cheese or use low-fat mozzarella.
  • To add more veggies, try layering in spinach, mushrooms, or zucchini.
  • This recipe can be assembled in advance and stored in the refrigerator until ready to bake.
