Description

Indulge in the savory goodness of Philly Cheesesteak Delight! This delicious sandwich features tender steak, sautéed onions, and gooey cheese, all nestled in a fresh hoagie roll. It's a classic comfort food that’s perfect for a quick dinner or game day treat!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cheesesteak:

  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced (or flank steak)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • ook the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

  • Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced onion (and bell pepper, if using). Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized.

  • Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the onions and peppers. Mix well to combine and heat through for another minute.

  • Assemble the Sandwiches: Preheat your oven broiler. Place the hoagie rolls on a baking sheet. Fill each roll with the steak and vegetable mixture, then top each with 2 slices of provolone cheese.

  • Broil: Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning.

  • Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy your Philly Cheesesteak Delight!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding mushrooms or jalapeños to the filling.
  • These sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven if needed.
