This sweet and tangy mango chutney is a perfect balance of flavors, with a kick of spice, ideal for pairing with curries, grilled meats, or as a dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: In a saucepan, combine chopped mangoes, sugar, apple cider vinegar, onion, raisins, and grated ginger.
  2. Cook the Chutney: Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add cumin, cinnamon, chili flakes, and salt. Stir occasionally and let cook for 25-30 minutes until thickened.
  3. Cool and Store: Let the chutney cool before transferring to a jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili flakes.
