  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 garlic cloves, whole
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1.5 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken thighs under cold water and pat dry. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic, thyme leaves, lemon zest, and half a cup of chicken broth to create a marinade.
  3. In a steamer pot, add an inch of water and the remaining broth. Place a steaming rack inside, then lay the seasoned chicken on top.
  4. Cover and steam over medium heat for 30–35 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for five minutes before serving, garnished with parsley.
