  • 2 lbs baby back pork ribs
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry. Remove silver skin for enhanced tenderness.
  2. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to create the spice rub.
  3. Generously coat the ribs with the spice mixture and let them sit at room temperature while preheating your grill or oven.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium heat (300°F) or oven to 275°F. Place ribs on indirect heat or on a foil-covered baking sheet.
  5. Cook for about 2.5 hours on the grill or 3 hours in the oven, basting with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving with extra sauce on the side.
