Description

Creme Brulee Pie is a luxurious dessert that fuses the velvety custard of traditional crème brûlée with a flaky pie crust. Topped with a crisp, caramelized sugar layer, this pie delivers an irresistible crunch in every bite. Perfect for celebrations or cozy nights at home, it promises to be the star of your dessert table and leave your guests craving more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust (9 inches)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, combine heavy cream and half of the sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  3. In a bowl, whisk egg yolks with the remaining sugar until pale. Gradually whisk in the warm cream mixture to avoid scrambling.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour custard into the pre-baked pie crust and bake for 30-35 minutes until slightly jiggly in the center. Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least two hours.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle granulated sugar on top and use a kitchen torch to caramelize until golden brown.
