  • 5 large eggs (separated)
  • 100g granulated sugar (for batter) + 20g (for egg whites)
  • 250g cream cheese (softened)
  • 120ml whole milk
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 60g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 320°F (160°C) and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, milk, and butter until smooth. Add egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and whisk until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan placed inside a larger dish filled with hot water (bain-marie).
  6. Bake for about 55 minutes or until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Allow to cool before serving plain or with your favorite toppings.
