- 1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, drained
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 cup low-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Sauté the onion and garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Make the creamy sauce: Stir in the Greek yogurt, low-fat milk, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Combine: Add the drained tuna and cooked pasta to the skillet, mixing everything together. Once well combined, transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Top with cheese and breadcrumbs: Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top, followed by breadcrumbs if using.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
