Ingredients
For the Chicken Wings:
- 10-12 chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional for a citrusy kick)
For the Feta Dipping Sauce:
- 1/2 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 small garlic clove (minced)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels, which helps them crisp up during baking. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
2. Bake the Wings
Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden and crispy.
3. Prepare the Feta Dipping Sauce
While the wings are baking, make the feta sauce. In a small bowl, combine crumbled feta, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic. Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you prefer a thinner sauce, add a splash of water or extra olive oil.
4. Serve
Once the wings are crispy and fully cooked, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with the creamy feta dipping sauce on the side, garnished with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon if desired.
Notes
- Make it Spicy: If you like heat, add chili flakes or a splash of hot sauce to the seasoning mix or dipping sauce for an extra kick.
- Grilling Option: For a smoky flavor, cook the wings on the grill instead of the oven. Grill them over medium heat for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Make-Ahead: You can prep the wings a day in advance and store them in the fridge before baking. The sauce can also be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
