Description

Indulge in these crispy fried mozzarella sticks that are gooey on the inside and perfectly golden on the outside. Ideal for parties, game nights, or as a tasty snack, they’re sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g mozzarella cheese (cut into sticks)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-style)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Breading Station:
Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  2. Coat the Mozzarella:
Dip each mozzarella stick into the flour, shaking off excess. Then, dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  3. Chill:
Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes. This helps prevent them from melting too quickly while frying.

  4. Heat the Oil:
In a deep pan, heat oil to 180°C (350°F).

  5. Fry the Sticks:
Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. Serve:
Enjoy warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes:

  • For extra crunch, double-coat the sticks by repeating the egg and breadcrumb steps.
  • Experiment with spices in the breadcrumb mixture to customize the flavor!
