- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup (for the glaze)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for the glaze)
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (for the glaze)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined. - Shape the Meatloaf:
Place the mixture into a loaf shape on a lined baking sheet or press it into a loaf pan. Smooth the top for even cooking. - Make the Glaze:
In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf. - Bake:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- For extra moisture, use a mix of 80/20 ground beef and pork.
- To avoid overmixing, gently fold ingredients together until combined.
- Resting the meatloaf after baking ensures the juices redistribute evenly.
