Indulge in the flavors of the sea with these Delicious Crab Cakes! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these savory cakes are packed with fresh crab meat and a delightful blend of seasonings. Perfect as an appetizer or a main course!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g fresh crab meat (cooked)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Mix the Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Gently fold until just combined.

  • Form the Cakes:
Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches wide. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Chill the Cakes:
Refrigerate the crab cakes for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.

  • Heat the Oil:
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  • Cook the Crab Cakes:
Carefully add the crab cakes to the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  • Serve:
Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley, and enjoy with a squeeze of lemon or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, bake the crab cakes at 200°C (400°F) for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Use lump crab meat for a more luxurious texture and flavor.
