  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 12 bites 1x

Description

These crispy, golden deep-fried cheesecake bites are a fun twist on a classic dessert. A creamy, luscious cheesecake filling wrapped in a flaky, crunchy exterior creates the perfect indulgence. Whether for a special occasion or a sweet treat, these deep-fried bites are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Cinnamon sugar for coating (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  2. Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the milk and egg to form a smooth batter.
  3. Assemble the Bites
Using a spoon, scoop out small portions of the cream cheese mixture and roll them into balls. Place the cream cheese balls on a tray and freeze them for at least 1 hour. This will help them hold their shape when frying.
  4. Fry the Cheesecake Bites
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Dip each frozen cream cheese ball into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Carefully drop them into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
While the bites are still warm, roll them in cinnamon sugar for an added sweet touch (optional).

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese filling is frozen before frying to prevent it from melting during the cooking process.
  • You can experiment with different coatings, such as powdered sugar or fruit toppings, for a customized finish.
  • If you want a lighter version, try baking them instead of frying.
  • Serve these with a side of chocolate, caramel, or berry sauce for extra flavor.
