Description

Creamy garlic mushroom chicken thighs are a comforting dish that brings together tender, juicy chicken and a rich, savory sauce. This easy-to-make recipe combines bone-in chicken thighs, earthy mushrooms, and fragrant garlic, all enveloped in a luscious cream sauce that's perfect for cozy family dinners or impressing guests. Serve it over rice or pasta to soak up every bit of that creamy goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz fresh cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping mushrooms and mincing garlic.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Sear the chicken skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown; flip and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes until browned. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine into a smooth sauce.
  5. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve hot, drizzled with extra sauce over rice or pasta.
