- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or grease each muffin cup.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cardamom.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the sugar, brown sugar, eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and orange zest until smooth.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
