Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 cup (240ml) pizza sauce
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (60g) diced bell peppers (optional)
  • ½ cup (60g) sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Roll out the refrigerated pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  2. Cook the Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add Seasonings:
    • Stir in pizza sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Assemble the Pie:
    • Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared crust.
    • Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Add optional toppings like diced bell peppers or olives.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the pie cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a crispy crust, blind bake the pie crust for 5 minutes before adding the filling.
  • Feel free to customize with your favorite pizza toppings like mushrooms or jalapeños.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
