Crispy Baked Cream Cheese Rangoon Rolls

  • Author: my aunty recipes
  • Total Time: 19 minute

Description

These Baked Cream Cheese Rangoon Rolls are a lighter, baked version of the popular crispy appetizer. Filled with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, green onions, and garlic, these rolls are perfectly golden and delicious. Serve them with a tangy dipping sauce for a delightful snack or party treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp green onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Cooking spray (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Assemble the rolls: Place one wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a bit of water and fold it into a roll, sealing the edges tightly to keep the filling inside. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  4. Bake the rolls: Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray to help them crisp up. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Cool and serve: Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, or spicy mayo.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: You can assemble the rolls ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking. Alternatively, freeze them on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
  • Vegetarian Option: For a vegetarian version, skip any meat fillings and add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the cream cheese mixture for added flavor and texture.
  • Dipping Sauce: These rolls go great with a variety of sauces. Try sweet and sour, soy sauce, or a spicy mayo for a kick!
