- 2 large apples, peeled and diced
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté the diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice for about 5 minutes until softened. Set aside to cool.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4 squares.
- Spoon the apple mixture into the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
- Brush with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the apple filling.
- You can also use frozen puff pastry to save time.
