  • ½ cup chocolate syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, eggs, and water; mix until smooth. Pour into prepared pans.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  4. For the cheesecake layer, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until creamy.
  5. Once cakes are cool, layer one cake on a serving plate, spread half the cheesecake mixture on top, add the second cake layer, and repeat.
  6. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form; use it as frosting or fold into leftover cheesecake mixture.
  7. Drizzle with chocolate syrup before serving.
