  • 4 cups Chex cereal (Rice or Corn)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pretzels

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together until bubbly. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, combine Chex cereal and pretzels. Pour the toffee mixture over them and stir gently until coated.
  4. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot mixture; toss to combine.
  6. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
