Description

Pasta with Olive Oil and Garlic is a quick, comforting dish that brings Italian charm to your dinner table in under 20 minutes. This recipe features perfectly cooked pasta enveloped in rich extra virgin olive oil and aromatic garlic, topped with fresh parsley for a pop of color. Ideal for busy weeknights or casual gatherings, it’s easy to customize with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until golden brown but not burnt.
  3. Toss the drained pasta in the skillet with the garlic oil. If it appears dry, add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
