  • ¼ cup brown sugar (for glaze)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or loaf pan.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed onion, breadcrumbs, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
  5. For the glaze, mix ½ cup ketchup with brown sugar and spread it evenly over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for about 60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
