  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  6. Cool on a wire rack and drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
