  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in sugar until combined, then add cocoa powder and mix until smooth. Let cool slightly before whisking in eggs and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually fold into the brownie mixture until just combined.
  4. For the cheesecake layer, beat cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and one egg until creamy.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Add dollops of the cheesecake mixture on top and swirl with a knife. Finish by pouring the remaining brownie batter over.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until edges are set but center has a slight jiggle. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
