Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or a blend)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • Fresh coriander (optional)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, yogurt, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth, then cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Once risen, divide dough into small balls. Flatten each ball and place cheese in the center. Seal and roll into a flat disc.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the naan for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Notes

  • For a more intense garlic flavor, add more minced garlic to the butter.
  • You can use any cheese that melts well, like mozzarella or cheddar.
  • Serve with your favorite curry or dip for the perfect meal!
