- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 ½ cups crispy fried onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Green Beans: Blanch fresh green beans in boiling water for 3–4 minutes, then cool in an ice bath. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Assemble: Layer green beans in a baking dish, pour the sauce over, and stir to coat. Top with 1 cup of crispy onions.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes. Add the remaining onions and bake uncovered for 10 more minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce.
- Substitute fresh green beans with frozen or canned if desired. Adjust cooking time for texture.
