  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for greasing or spraying the pan)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • Place the chicken in a bowl with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for deeper flavor.
  2. Prepare the Coating:
    • Mix breadcrumbs, flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Coat the Chicken:
    • Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, letting excess drip off. Coat each piece thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Set Up for Baking:
    • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease or spray a baking rack and place it on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake to Crispy Perfection:
