Description

Short Description: These easy-to-make Spinach Puffs with Cream Cheese are the perfect snack or appetizer. Packed with creamy cheese and vibrant spinach, they're baked to golden perfection inside flaky puff pastry for a delicious bite every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (17 oz) puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 cup frozen spinach (thawed and drained)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the spinach filling: Squeeze excess moisture from the spinach. Mix the spinach, cream cheese, mozzarella, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl until well combined.
  • Assemble the puffs: Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares. Spoon the spinach mixture into the center of each square. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle, sealing edges with a fork.
  • Brush with egg wash: Beat the egg and brush it over the puffs for a golden finish.
  • Bake: Place the puffs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and puffed.

Notes

  • Make ahead: Prepare the puffs in advance, freeze them, and bake from frozen when ready to serve.
  • Customization: Add extra ingredients like feta, sautéed mushrooms, or a dash of red pepper flakes for added flavor.
  • Serving tips: These puffs pair wonderfully with a creamy dip or a fresh salad.
