For the Biscuits:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

For the Beef Filling:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Au Jus:

  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Prepare the Biscuits: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Stir in milk until just combined. Turn out, knead gently, and cut into biscuits. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the Biscuits: Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly.
  • Cook the Beef: In a skillet, combine sliced beef, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat until warmed through.
  • Make the Au Jus: Simmer beef broth, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a saucepan for 3-5 minutes.
  • Assemble: Split biscuits, fill with beef, and serve with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cheese on top of the beef before serving.
  • Leftover beef can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
