Description

These roasted Brussels sprouts are perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making for a deliciously healthy side dish that elevates any meal. Seasoned simply with olive oil, salt, and pepper, they’re easy to make and bursting with flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 2 cloves minced garlic, red pepper flakes, or balsamic vinegar for added flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Rinse and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any yellow leaves. Cut large sprouts in half for even cooking.
  • Season: In a large bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper (and any optional ingredients you like).
  • Arrange and Roast: Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through for even browning.
  • Serve: Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the oven and enjoy hot!

Notes

  • For added texture, sprinkle with toasted nuts or seeds before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days and reheated in the oven for the best texture.
