Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch + 3 tbsp water (for slurry)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Beef: Place sliced beef in the crockpot.
  • Make the Sauce: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger. Pour over the beef.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  • Add Broccoli: 30 minutes before serving, stir in the broccoli florets.
  • Thicken the Sauce: Mix cornstarch and water, then add to the crockpot 15 minutes before serving. Stir well.
  • Finish: Drizzle with sesame oil, garnish with green onions, and serve over rice or noodles.
