Ingredients
Scale
- For the Cookies:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- For the Slime Filling:
- 1 cup green candy melts (or white chocolate with green food coloring)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Chill the Dough: Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the Slime Filling: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the green candy melts and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly to thicken.
- Assemble Cookies: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop out dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a small spoonful of the slime filling in the center, then wrap the dough around it, sealing the edges. Roll into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For extra spooky vibes, add edible glitter or spooky sprinkles on top before baking.
- Make sure the filling is not too hot when filling the cookies, as it could cause the dough to melt.
